As part of a programme of short films Naši junaki (Our Heroes) at the first Giro Giro Film (Filmsko rajanje) event in Koper, a selection of the newest Slovenian animated films was screened that deal with Slovenian folk mythology, and are adapted in a modern form. The screening involved an active talk with a very diverse young audience, aged from 8 to 13 years. Those oldest children were especially invited to the stage in front of the screen for a talk to create a symbolic bridge with the younger ones, the way that folk tales make bridges between generations. The audience was also challenged to invent their own stories that they could imagine as folk stories.
