The group of Young Programmers of 1r de Batxillerat of Institut Maria Espinalt have dedicated the first term preparing a session at Cinemes Girona. They wondered how to pass on their interest and enjoyment of auteur cinema to other classmates.

The group began researching what auteur cinema was. Where does auteur cinema come from? What makes it special? How is it different? What moves the filmaker? How does auteur cinema reach young people? What makes it attractive?

In parallel, they watched and analyzed three films from the CineEd collection to program one. They shared the impressions from each film and finally, by consensus, chose A Man Without a Past by Aki Kaurismäki.

When everything was ready, they summoned their high school classmates to the Cinemes Girona in Barcelona for the screening. After a great presentation, they had a rich dialogue about the film.

Maria Espinalt Young Programmers group is made up of Judit Cadòrniga Soler, Laura Carrió Mont, Sofia Del Campo Rivera, Gerard Ferrer Puig, Axel Manyés Huarte-mendioca, Bali Moré Nafria, Gemma Requena Chavarria.
