Grand opening of “Young Programmers’ Choice” programme started with music performance of Free Finga followed by Moving Cinema young programmers presenting beautiful film “Too Late to Die Young” (dir. Dominga Sotomayor).
Film “Too Late to Die Young” is slow paced, visually stunning story of isolated community in Chile. Programmers were impressed by deconstruction of the classical narrative and focus on different characters as a group instead of one main actor.
They encouraged audience to shut off the critical thinking and let the film sink in through feelings and emotions.
Audience praised cinematography of the film and also sensitively admitted that the feeling of anxiety is closely related to coming of age.
