Two groups of Cinema en curs and two groups of Experiències assist to the screening of four documentary films at the Institut Français de Barcelona

The students of Institut Escola Trinitat Nova (Barcelona) and Institut Castellet (Sant Vicenç de Castellet) watch four documentary films in the big screen: Un giorno a Barbagia and Pastori di Orgosolo, by Vittorio de Seta (1958), La soffleuse de verre, by Alain Cavalier (1991) and Glas, by Bert Haanstra (1958).

After the screening of the films, the participants open a dialogue and share rich and profound reflections, observations, knowledge and experiences. They comment and point out questions about the harshness of life, the sharpness of winter and the effort of people’s work, the courage and strength of women, the everyday nature, the beauty of the places, the gestures, the light, the sound, the editing, the colours and the hours of day…

The students value the power that cinema has to get us close to people and make us connect with them, and how movies allow us to visit other places and other times so we can discover and know the life that our grandfathers had, and at the same time that they remind us about experiences that we had.
