For the first time, Moving Cinema develops the project with an international group of Young Programmers: twelve enthusiastic film lovers aged between 18 and 25 from Croatia, Slovenia, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, and Serbia, who have already taken part as Moving Cinema Young Programmers at festivals in their regions, such as Kino Otok–Isola Cinema IFF (Slovenia), International Documentary FF Beldocs (Serbia), Vilnius Short FF (Lithuania), Piccolo Grande Cinema (Italy), and Cinehill FF (Croatia).

Between May and October, they met every two weeks to curate a double program celebrating both the 70th anniversary of Seminci and the 10th anniversary of Moving Cinema.

The group is composed of Lucía Caviedes, Katarina Čupić, Oton Fratrić, Andrej Jakovljevic, Maša Nedeljković, Gabija Okeana, Dora Plantarič, Katarina Radmilović, Carlotta Sforza, Pau Vega, Kamilė Zinkevičiūtė, and Noah Zoratti, accompanied by Martí Madaula and Julija Šilytė.

La promesse

“From the moment we encountered it, ‘La Promesse’ stood out for its rare force and simplicity. Its gaze, at once intimate and unsparing, follows Igor as he moves between filial loyalty and the dawning weight of moral responsibility, within a world where survival is bartered in silence. For many of us, this was a revelation: a film that feels both profoundly human and formally daring. Its themes —migration, responsibility, solidarity— are as urgent now as ever, and we believe ‘La Promesse’ will speak powerfully to Seminci’s audience, particularly its young viewers.”

Murina

“‘Murina’ , by Antoneta Alamat Kusijanović, is a visually striking coming-of-age drama set along Croatia’s arid coastline. From its very first frames, ‘Murina’ captivated our attention and held us in suspense until the very end. This emotional yet thrilling film is a true visual masterpiece. Within its layered narrative, it explores complex family relationships, the bond with the mother, the idea of freedom, and the position of women in a conservative society. Through raw performances, symbolic imagery, and silences more violent than words,  ‘Murina’ portrays how resilience can grow even under the harshest conditions.”
