Founded in 2005 by a group of like-minded individuals, this non-governmental organization works independently in the field of film and audiovisual media. Since its inception, the organization has remained committed to sharing its core beliefs and vision. After introducing the first open-air cinema series in Lithuania, it continues to be attuned to local needs while staying open to innovation and international trends.

The organization is dedicated to fostering media education and enhancing the understanding of film culture. 
It does so by organizing screenings of unconventional cinema, facilitating discussions and informal conversations, and supporting filmmakers in developing and producing their first films. In addition, the organization works to preserve audiovisual heritage and ensure its ongoing relevance. It promotes gender equality within the film industry through research and creates spaces for marginalized or less-heard voices in the realm of film culture.

In 2014 Meno Avilys started Moving Cinema with A Bao A Qu (Spain) ‘Os filhos de Lumière (Portugal). It has been part of Young4Film since its inception in 2023.
