Artist Eric Baudelaire spent four years in the making of this film with a group of students from the Dora Maar Institute in the Parisian suburb of Saint-Denis. Not so much as a teacher, but as a guide, allowing each student's idea to emerge about how a film is made, and what kind of film to make. The result is a striking and kaleidoscopic film that achieves through its spontaneity to be a lucid reflection on what cinema is, full of small stories, intimate portraits, performative games, theatricals and sharp social observations, a vision of friendship, trust and emancipation, a tale that is as naive as it is refreshing, revealing and profound.
