A Bao A Qu is a non-profit cultural association founded in 2004 with the following objectives, set out in its statutes:

  • To promote the enjoyment of art and culture by children and young people of all socioeconomic and geographical backgrounds, with a special dedication to those living in disadvantaged environments.
  • To contribute to educational innovation through art, creation, and culture.
  • To promote the value of creation and culture as an engine for social transformation and improvement.
  • Train teachers in the pedagogical potential of the arts.
  • Contribute to making schools and institutes cultural motors, especially in contexts with a fragile cultural fabric.

Among the acknowledgments obtained by the organisation, the following stand out: the Barcelona City Council Award in Visual Arts 2015, the Pepón Coromina Award of the Catalan Film Academy (2021), the Catalan Association of Art Critics (ACCA) in Education 2020, the Cidade de Ourense Award (2017), the "Grant for EU Media Literacy Programs" from the Evens Foundation (2013), and the Recognition of Childhood 2009 from the Ministry of Social Action and Citizenship of the Government of Catalonia.
