Vilnius Film Festival

Founded in 1995, the Vilnius Film Festival, also known as Kino Pavasaris, is the largest and most prestigious film festival in Lithuania. It screens a broad selection of international films, including European, American, and Asian cinema. The festival aims to present a diverse program of high-quality films that explore various genres and themes, including documentaries, short films, and art-house features. It is a key event in the Lithuanian cultural calendar, providing a space for filmmakers, critics, and audiences to come together and celebrate the power of cinema.

The festival also hosts masterclasses, industry panels, and networking events to engage with professionals from around the world.

Since 2019, the VDFF has actively participated in the Young Programmers initiative, led by the non-profit organization Meno Avilys and the international project Moving Cinema. Through these collaborations, students get hands-on experience learning the basic steps of organizing a film festival and have the exciting opportunity to present their own program.
