Since 2015, UJAC (‘Unió Jove Alternativa Cinemàtica’), formed by a cinephile group of young people between 15 and 19 years old, organize an auteur cinema cycle named Pantalla Alternativa.

The young programmers meet weekly to talk about cinema and comment the organisation of the sessions: the films to be programmed, the design of the elements of communication, the elaboration of the information sheets, the dissemination strategies, the presentation preparation, the dialogue with filmmakers and experts...

The first programming of the 2016-2017 season is a double session with Antoine et Colette by François Truffaut (1962), film that recovers for the first time the character of Antoine Doinel after The 400 blows (1959); and the last film by Jonás Trueba, La reconquista (2016).

After the screening, an interesting and rich dialogue with the filmmaker Jonás Trueba is opened, where there are some discussions about the light and colour of the film, the actor’s work, the sequence of the first kiss, the music, the value of the wardrobe...

The following session is the screening of the last film by Isaki Lacuesta and Isa Campo, The next skin (2016), followed by an emotional dialogue with filmmaker Isaki Lacuesta who answers generously the questions by young people from UJAC and the general public. It is discussed the cinematographic work, the focal length, the optical, the locations and the expressive use of the landscape, the actors, the shots, the script development and the co-direction with Isa Campo, the ending…

The sessions, specially addressed to the young public, are free and opened to everybody. The first is on Saturday 18th March and the second is on Saturday 20th May at the Auditorium of Calàbria 66, a city centre managed by the neighbour community of the Sant Antoni district.
