Moving Cinema Young Programmers Catalogue
Young programmers Screenings and Dialogues
One of the relevant results of Moving Cinema in the period 2018-2020 is the creation of a catalogue of European films chosen and programmed since 2016 by the Young Programmers of all the countries involved. It is accompanied by dissemination materials created by these young groups and also by Young Spectators.
This Catalogue aims to be a resource for cinemas, festivals, cinematheques, schools and VoD platforms. Based on this Catalogue, they can organize single screenings and film programmes or create film collections with films selected by and for young people, fostering the circulation of European films. There is a possibility of inviting Young Programmers to participate in the event(s) or of opening the possibility for other young people.
Each film of this catalogue is accompanied by information and different types of materials:
– Presentation texts, videos, trailers, posters, flyers, booklets, plastic creations and selections of quotes by filmmakers or film crew…
– Written and visual synopsis.
– Proposals for create possible film programmes with other related films.
– Indications regarding how to access the film: contact details of distributors and/or VoD platforms, available subtitles, etc.
– Links with the ‘FilmViewing-FilmMaking Kits’ connected with each film.
– Possible subjects and connections with the school curriculum.
This Catalogue and the materials have the aim to support groups of young people in organizing screenings of these films, but also to promote the emergence of groups of Young Programmers that organize screenings of European films and to inspire them to create their own dissemination materials.
